Creating Web Pages Quickly
Here's a quick look at the process of creating web pages quickly.
I started this particular page at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon
and I'll let you know how long it took when I finish.
Why is speed important? It isn't always important, but the
more pages you have on your site, the more likely it is to make
money. A page like this may only bring in a dollar or two each
month in revenue. That makes it questionable if it I spend a
whole afternoon creating it. But given that I expect to spend
just thirty minutes on this little project, making $72 in the
next three years with it seems like a reasonable payback.
First, if you are going to be efficient in creating web pages
you need to have a template. I will not get into the technical
issues of making pages or which software to use here. I personally
use an old page maker, but I have a html template for each site
copied and pasted into a notepad file. That's what makes speed
possible. I just copied and pasted the template in and I'm ready
to write.
I went to WordTracker first, to find the keyword "creating
web pages." That took about a minute, because it is in my
favorites list for easy access, of course. There are about 500
searches monthly for this keyword term, enough for my purposes.
You can find that tool here: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
Then I quickly consider a few key points that I want to get
across. that would be the template and the easy access keyword
tool already mentioned. You want to have at least one or two
ideas or tips that the reader is unlikely to have already read.
To make the writing itself go as fast as possible, use simple
formats that lend themselves to this goal. Some of the easiest
are "Top Ten Tips For.." and "Question and Answer"
pages. Of course it helps tremendously if you are writing on
a subject that you know something about, so you don't need to
do any time consuming research.
That's your quick lesson on creating web pages quickly. This
particular one will make me some money I am sure, and it took
me a total of 17 minutes, including keyword research and the
minute it will take to upload it to the website now.
