More on How to Rewrite Articles
Continuation of Lesson 17 from You Can Make
Money Writing
We continue this lesson with more about how to rewrite articles...
Change the Words
Now, you may not want to hear this, but to properly change
a page or article into a new article, you really need to change
every sentence. The good news is that is easy once you get used
to it. I try to at least change the first or last word of each
sentence. This makes it tough for any content analyzer to identify
it as duplicate.
I also try to make bigger changes to the first sentence of
the article and of each paragraph. This can go faster than you
might think.
Look at this sentence:
It is easy to rewrite your articles to use them again.
Now look at how easily it can be rewritten, without losing
any meaning:
You can easily rewrite your articles and use them again.
Rewriting your articles to use them again is easy.
Why not rewrite your articles to use them again? It's easy.
It's easier than you might think to recycle your old articles
into new ones.
It's not as difficult as you might think to rewrite and
reuse your articles.
That took a few seconds for each, and twenty more versions
are possible. This may seem like a bit of work, but only because
it is (ah, we are always looking for the easy way, aren't we?).
Fortunately, it is a lot less work than creating entirely new
articles, especially if you write articles that need to be researched
- you don't need to do that research again.
Changing the Title
In a previous example I suggested that "How To Increase
Your IQ," could become "How To Improve Your IQ."
That's okay, because it does one important thing - it targets
a new keyword. But you should usually try to make bigger changes
than that in a title. I only changed one word, after all.
I might count the number of ways to increase ones IQ suggested
in the first article, and title the second one, "Six Ways
To Improve Your IQ." Or, in accordance with the theory that
it's better to have the keyword first, I could title it, "Improve
Your IQ - Six Ways." There are always a few decent titles
for a new article.
One advantage of rewriting your articles is this changing
of the title. Why is this an advantage? Consider the title "How
I Survived A Plane Crash." Isn't that much more likely to
pull in a reader than "Ten Airplane Safety Tips?" You
will certainly get more readers from those cruising the article
directories with the former.
The problem is that those who search "airplane safety
tips" probably will never see your article. But if you post
both versions in the article directories, you get the keyword
traffic and those who wander through the directory listings.
Bottom line? If you have a great title that doesn't have great
keywords, go ahead and use it - when you rewrite the article.
You get the best of both keyword optimization and attention-grabbing
titles.

attention.
3. Change the keywords in the article body as well.
4. Write a bit of new content to add.
