How To Write Articles Fast
It is 6:12 in the evening and I'm going to time how long it
takes me to explain how to write articles fast and why. Actually,
the why is pretty self evident if you do much writing online.
Whether for your own website promotional purposes or for blogs
or for pay for others, the faster you crank out those articles,
the more money you make for your time.
Writing for the internet can be intimidating at first, and
might even take you several hours the first time you put an article
together, which is fine (you have to start somewhere). Eventually
though, you'll want to become more efficient. Let's look at how
to do that, and since I hope to use this as an example, I'm aiming
for thirty minutes maximum, and I'll let you know how long it
took at the end of the article - including spell checking.
How To Write Articles Fast
Have files prepared to speed up the process. I have a list
of keywords that I will base my articles on, for example. I just
chose "how to write articles" for this one. I will
target this particular keyword phrase in order to get some of
the traffic from people searching it in Google or another search
engine. I put the phrase in the title and first paragraph, and
you'll see it again in the last.
I had a file waiting for the article, which will be used by
my wife, who submits my articles to many directories where they
are read and used by other website owners. I have a file that
has my "author resource boxes" ready in it, so when
I am finished I can quickly copy and paste one at the bottom
rather than writing it fresh for each article. This speeds things
up, and I can easily modify them as necessary.
(I have spent about ten minutes on this so far.)
How do you write quickly without spending time on research?
Focus on subjects you know something about or are passionate
about. Some marketers tell you to forget your passions and make
websites on whatever sells best, but I don't buy it. Begin with
interests and passions first, and then choose one or two that
have the most commercial possibilities. This is how you stay
motivated, and it is much easier to write this way as well.
Think of several key points that readers are either not likely
to know or that you can present from a new perspective, and use
each for a paragraph or two. Have something new to say, and/or
something useful to say, and you don't need to worry about making
the article a long one. It does have to be at least 400 words
for most directories, but more than 800 is unnecessary. If it
gets too long, cut it off and save something for another article.
There are certain types of articles that are the fastest to
write. Examples are lists of tips or "top ten" articles.
Introduce the subject, list your tips with a line or two of explanation
for each. Then close it with a short paragraph if needed. "Six
Ways To Save Money," or "Ten Best Vacation Destinations"
are both examples of a good start. Or think of the three questions
people are most likely to ask about your chosen topic. After
introducing the subject, answer each one in about two paragraphs
and you're finished.
To review:
- Have the right preparation.
- Use what you know.
- Use easy formats.
That's how to write articles fast, and this article took twenty-three
minutes total, including the minute it will now take me to attach
the "about the author" information and paste the whole
thing in a file for later use (this version will be a page).
